Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
FC Outreach, Inc. (“FC Outreach,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization in Pensacola, Florida. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our website, firstcityoutreach.org (the “Site”). “Personal information” means information that identifies, or can reasonably be linked to, a particular person.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to other websites, including other websites operated by FC Outreach and the third-party services described in Section 6. It also does not apply to information we collect while providing services to children and families, including case records, which is handled under the confidentiality laws and contract requirements that govern those services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you submit
We collect the information you enter into a form on the Site when you submit it. Nothing you type into a form is sent to us until you submit it.
| Form | Information collected |
|---|---|
| Contact form (including messages to our Board of Directors) | Your name, email address, phone number, and message. |
| Grievance and complaint form | Your name, phone number, and email address; the date and details of your concern; your proposed resolution; and your typed signature. |
| Referral form (for case workers and partner agencies) | The referring professional’s name, email address, and phone number; the names, phone number, home address, and case number of the family being referred; the services requested; the reason for the referral; and any safety-plan document you attach. |
| Donation form | The donation amount and frequency and your email address. You enter your payment details directly into a form provided by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive your full card number or security code. Stripe makes limited transaction details available to us, such as the name on the card, card type, last four digits, and billing ZIP code or country. |
If you submit information about another person, such as a family you are referring for services, you must be authorized to provide it.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you request in order to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. Vercel keeps technical logs of these requests for a limited period. Our forms also use your IP address to limit repeated submissions; for this purpose it is held only temporarily in server memory.
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the Site is used and how quickly pages load. These tools record the page visited, the referring website, approximate location (such as country or region), browser, operating system, device type, and page-performance measurements. They do not use cookies. Vercel states that it distinguishes visitors using a value derived from each request, which it discards after 24 hours. Before analytics data leaves your browser, the Site removes any query string or fragment (the part after “?” or “#”) from the page address.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your messages and requests;
- receive, review, and act on referrals and provide services to families;
- review, investigate, and respond to grievances and complaints;
- process donations and keep donation records;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing spam and abuse; and
- comply with legal obligations, including mandatory reporting, and protect the safety and rights of any person.
6. Third-Party Services
When a page on the Site opens, your browser loads content only from the Site, which is delivered by our hosting provider, Vercel. The services below load only after you take the action listed. When a service loads, the provider receives information such as your IP address and device information, may load further content from its own servers, and handles that information under its own privacy policy. The Site’s security settings instruct your browser not to load content into our pages from any other outside service.
| Provider | Purpose | Loads only when |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing for online donations. | You enter a donation amount and continue to payment. |
| YouTube (Google) | Hosts the video on our homepage. | You press play on the video. Until then, the page shows an image stored on our own server. |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation | Supplies the images for the map of the counties we serve. | You choose “Show interactive map.” |
7. Links to Other Websites
The Site links to websites operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and longer where required by law, our contracts, or accreditation standards.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. The Site is served only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payment card details are handled by Stripe. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the Site, we will delete it unless we need it to protect the child’s safety or to comply with law. Referrals submitted by case workers and partner agencies may include information about children; we protect that information as described in Sections 5 and 9.
11. Your Choices and Requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information about you that we received through the Site by contacting us as described in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may be unable to change or delete information that we must keep under law, our contracts, or accreditation standards; if so, we will tell you.
The Site does not track visitors across websites or sell or share personal information for advertising, so it does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. If we make a material change to how we use personal information we have already collected, we will obtain any consent required by law.
